On 17 September 2008, GRIPS held the Graduation Ceremony 2008 for almost 200 graduating students at its campus in Roppongi, Tokyo. I was one of three doctoral students to get a PhD degree this year. This was the first time students of GRIPS had gowns for their memorial event. Thanks to supportive guidances from professors and staffs, we could do well. To be successful, among many people, my particular gratitudes would go to my family, Assoc. Prof. Wade D. Pfau, Prof. Kenichi Ohno, NEU and VDF colleagues for their continuous encouragements over the years.
