On 15-16 November 2008, I participated in the 11th Convention of the East Asian Economic Association (EAEA) in Manila, the Philippines. I was a presenter for my co-authored paper with Professor Wade D. Pfau on Vietnamese elderly poverty, and a discussant for a research on the Cambodian economic growth and poverty reduction. It was a good convention where many researchers from different parts of the East Asian region met and exchanged research information with each other.
